The film will continue to have the franchise's original male cast: Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. However, there will be a different set of leading ladies paired opposite them. In August 2017, it was reported that Kriti Kharbanda had been finalized to play the female lead in the film.
After re-introducing the lovable trio of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol with three exciting posters, the makers of Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se unveiled the teaser of the comedy film. The third installment in the Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se marks Bobby Deol's second major comeback after Race 3. Interestingly, unlike the first two parts - Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013) - the upcoming threequel will not feature Dharmendra as Sunny and Bobby's father in the film.
Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Binnu Dhillon, Johnny Lever, Gurmeet Saajan and Rana Ranbir. The film also features cameos by Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Rekha and Gippy Grewal.
The teaser opens with Dharmendra promising us a lot of emotion,drama, tragedy and entertainment in the story. In one scene, we see Bobby Deol recreate Dharmendra's famous drunk scene from Sholay. Superstar Salman Khan also makes his cameo in the teaser.

The film's theatrical trailer was released on 27 March 2013 on YouTube, and its music rights were acquired by Yash Raj Films. Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 was released on 7 June 2013, receiving mixed-to-negative reviews. With an average opening, it was unsuccessful at the box office.
